Mindfulness meditation is based on noticing the moment our awareness connects with our present situation, and then cultivating that simple awareness.
It can be defined as learning to bring our attention to the present moment (by focusing on our breath) and simply seeing what arises without thought or judgment. Mindfulness is simple and straightforward: by returning our attention to the present, we can cut through stress and anxiety to develop clarity, strength and stability in our everyday lives.
Some examples of mindfulness and meditation practices we might use include:
• Seated meditation
• Walking meditation
• Mantra meditation
• Breath work
• Yoga Nidra
